Droid Tycoon Astromech Mission Guide
Compare every Astromech mission tier, reward chance, credit-only break-even point, R2-D2's two-crate mission result, and the doubled CB-23 secret mission rewards.
Reviewed September 6, 2026 for v1.27 · Officially announced · Calculated.
Is the Stellar Astromech Mission worth 6 trillion Credits?
Only if the fee is disposable and you need its blueprint pool. The credit-only break-even is 9.375 billion credits per second, with a 15% Galactic Mythic and 5% Stellar Mythic blueprint result.
Drop to a cheaper tier if one bad result would slow the rest of your base.
Check my base incomeBefore you start
You need an Astromech assigned to a base slot before you can use its missions. The mission variant controls the fee and reward table. A higher mission is not automatically better if the entry fee still hurts your base.
You can cancel a mission now
Since v1.25, interacting with an Astromech terminal lets you cancel the mission running on it. A wrong tier or a timer you no longer want to wait out is recoverable, so the droid becomes available again.
The announcement did not say whether cancelling refunds the credit fee. Treat the fee as spent until direct evidence confirms otherwise.

Standard mission rewards
Credit rewards use a number of seconds of your credit generation. The break-even column values only the expected credit result and ignores the blueprint outcome, so it is a conservative line.
| Mission | Blueprint results | Credit result | Credit-only break-even |
|---|---|---|---|
| Default | Default 50%, Gold 10% | 40% for 40 seconds | Free mission |
| Gold | Default 10%, Gold 40% | 50% for 80 seconds | 625 credits/s |
| Diamond | Gold 10%, Diamond 35% | 55% for 120 seconds | 6,061 credits/s |
| Rainbow | Diamond 10%, Rainbow 25% | 65% for 200 seconds | 615,385 credits/s |
| Beskar | Rainbow 15%, Beskar 10% | 75% for 400 seconds | 66.7 million/s |
| Galactic | Beskar 15%, Galactic 5% | 80% for 600 seconds | 2.084 billion/s |
| Stellar | Galactic Mythic 15%, Stellar Mythic 5% | 80% for 800 seconds | 9.375 billion/s |
How I choose a tier
- Check whether the entry fee is disposable at your current income.
- Run the tier that can actually drop the blueprint variant you want.
- Use the credit-only break-even as the minimum comfort line.
- Drop back a tier if one bad result slows the rest of your base.
Blueprint value is personal. A needed Galactic blueprint can be worth far more than the mission fee, while a duplicate you cannot store may be worth very little.
What R2-D2 does now
R2-D2 no longer shortens Astromech Mission timers. Since v1.23.2, completing R2-D2's own Astromech Mission produces two crates. This is tied to R2-D2's mission result, not a general mission-speed companion bonus.
CB-23 secret mission rewards
The Elphrona mission is free, takes 20 minutes, and requires CB-23. Since v1.23.2, its weighted average is 77 Upgrade Chips per run across all outcomes, plus the separate 10% chance at 4 Nova.
| Reward | Chance |
|---|---|
| 40 Upgrade Chips | 32.5% |
| 80 Upgrade Chips | 25% |
| 120 Upgrade Chips | 20% |
| 160 Upgrade Chips | 12.5% |
| 4 Nova Crystals | 10% |
